Big, big thanks to everyone who came out for the big Vol. 69 — it was the largest turnout in quite a while, which meant having to add an extra row of chairs around the table. As I had mentioned, it was my final night as a resident of Ikebukuro, and it made for a fantastic sendoff. The photo above is of course by Michael Holmes, and you’ll find a Facebook gallery here.
Below, the list of those who attended (or at least those who signed the attendance sheet). PauseTalk Vol. 70 will take place on May 6, and yes, it’s still at Cafe Pause!

Yet again, this list comes out a bit late, but it will also be accompanied by a bit of news. First, I’d like to thank everyone who made it out to this month’s Vol. 68 — lots was discussed, including Tohoku (considering the 2nd anniversary of the earthquake/tsunami). Everyone’s favorite photographer, Michael Holmes, was in attendance, and he’s posted a great Facebook gallery of the shots he took.
The next PauseTalk — the oh so sexy Vol. 69 — is just around the corner, and no joke, it’s on April 1. This will also mark a very special occasion, as it will be the last PauseTalk that I host as a resident of Ikebukuro — I will be moving the very next day. Don’t worry, PauseTalk will continue at Cafe Pause for the foreseeable future, but this will be my final night in this area of the city I’ve called home for my entire life in Japan.
Below, a list of those who attended Vol. 68.

As happens every once in a while, we ended up being a rather tiny group for this month’s Vol. 67, but what makes for a slightly awkward start usually ends up producing a more intimate discussion, with everyone more actively participating, which is something I enjoy. So thank you everyone who made it out, I think a good time was had by all.
The photo above was taken by Shiho, and pictured from left are Said, me, and Sam. Below, the list of participants. PauseTalk Vol. 68 will take place on March 4.
A big thanks to everyone who made it out for not only the last PauseTalk of the year (Vol. 66), but also the last edition for the next couple of months, since I always skip January. We had a great group, a fun time, and that fun continued with a few of us at a nearby bar aftewards. It was a very fine way to end 2012, and sets us up nicely for 2013.
Below, the list of those who signed the attendance sheet. As mentioned, there will be no PauseTalk in January, and so Vol. 67 will be held on February 4.

As is often the case, I’m late again with the regular attendance post, but do know that Vol. 65 was a truly fun evening, one of the best this year, and hopefully this gallery of photos by Michael Holmes will illustrate the good mood and atmosphere that we all shared.
Below, the list of those who signed the attendance sheet. The next PauseTalk (Vol. 66) is just over a week away, on December 3, and not only will it be the last edition for a couple of months (I always skip January), it acts as our traditional bonnenkai, meaning end-of-year celebration. As I stated at the November event, I plan on being even more merry than usual.
Here’s your reminder that PauseTalk Vol. 65 is just around the corner, happening this Monday (November 5) at Cafe Pause, with the regular start time of 20:00. Despite all of the design week madness, hope to see many of you there!

Thanks again to the always great Michael Holmes for sharing another set of photos (on Facebook), this time for last month’s PauseTalk Vol. 64.
I’m really late with this, but herein lies part of the terrific cast of characters who helped make PauseTalk Vol. 64 such a great evening. Below, the list of those who signed the attendance sheet. PauseTalk Vol. 65 happens on November 5.
Just a reminder that PauseTalk Vol. 64 is happening this coming Monday (October 1). As always, it takes place at Cafe Pause, with the official session starting at 20:00 — and do feel free to come a bit earlier to chat before we start.
Big thanks to everyone who made it out to last night’s PauseTalk Vol. 63 — it was fun to do this again, following the 2-month break. It was a nice group — just under 20 I think — and we had a few interesting discussions than ran the gamut from writing to game development to porn (yes, we’re that eclectic).
Below is a list of most of those who attended — those who signed the attendance sheet — and please note that the next PauseTalk (Vol. 64) should take place on October 1.
